Light bulb standards empower the Tea Party... right

What a bunch of crap. I need not comment other than highlighting one already posted by Homechef:

"You get the republicans to actually support a carbon tax and I'll happily call my congressperson and ask her to deregulate bulbs. Till then I don't want to hear about how the second policies we can pass are making people tea partiers."

Oh, good times. I already knew all of these things, of course, but it's so much sweeter when a Republican comes out and says them.

Republicans. They believe that American entrepreneurs can overcome any challenge except a 2% increase in their marginal tax rate.

I'm just going to start this off short and sweet. The deficit supercommittee better agree on a carbon tax, and it better pass Congress.
